Cristina is a versatile artist whose performance experience includes opera, oratorio, film music, art song, contemporary music and early music. She is passionate about blurring the boundaries between contemporary and classical music and loves to collaborate with composers and musicians from across the industry.
Based in Australia, she has performed with Victorian Opera, Opera Australia, State Opera of South Australia, the Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed at venues including Melbourne’s Hamer Hall, State Theatre, Melbourne Recital Centre, Her Majesty’s Theatre, Sydney’s City Recital Centre and Teatro Pergolesi Spontini (Italy) .
When not performing opera, she often works with early music ensemble La Compañia, and regularly performs baroque concert and oratorio repertoire.
Prizes and awards include Best Song at the 2016 Macau International Film Festival, Lisa Gasteen National Opera School Scholarship, the Armstead Singing Award, Opus 50 Trust, finalist in the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Aria Competition, semi-finalist in the Australian Singing Competition, the Herald Sun Aria and the German Australian Opera Grant and finalist in the 3MBS Performer of the Year.
